Rapbeat Festival 2018

Rapbeat Festival 2018

The festival is less than one month away, scheduled to start on September 15th 2018, and we keep seeing updates on the lineup. In fact, about a couple of hours ago, “Queen” Hyolnn posted on her twitter account a new lineup, which we think it’s the third to date.

We love the fact that Hyolyn is in tha house, and we would have also loved if Flowsik (since Illionaire Records is already represented) and/or Jessi were present. Anyway, the original line-up did not change fundamentally, with just some names being more visible, as well as several new other being added.

The festival is keen on bringing some international names as well, with PHONYPPL, the Brooklyn based hip-hop, r&b, neo soul group being the first name on the poster, while waiting for a new revision of the line-up in which we could see another international name next to it. PHONYPPL was founded back in 2010 with nine members from which there are currently five left: Elbee Thrie (vocals), Elijah Rawk (lead guitar), Matt “Maffyuu” Byas (drums), Aja Grant (keyboard), and Bari Bass (bass guitar).
